Cantiere Internazionale d'Arte

The Cantiere was conceived in 1976 by the famous German composer, Hans Werner Henze, who was also for many years its artistic Director.
It still retains the original formula of professional, local enthusiasts and simple amateurs together creating the performances.
The local population is thus involved in the preparation of the season's programme through their associations, cultural groups and the Institute of Music from birth staging of the performances.
